Electric underfloor heating

After considering many options, the clients decided their well located home was exactly where they wanted to be – they just needed some more space.

The challenge was to improve this compact home on a tight site with conservative urban design requirements, and make it suitable for a growing family. With garden space at a premium, the only option was to provide the additional sleeping space on another level, with the ground floor adapted and improved to suit.

The design team at PIDCOCK – Architecture and Sustainability responded creatively to the clients needs and the site environment with the new accommodation fittig within a sensitively adapted roofscape that pays homage to the original so that it looks like it has always been there.

Working with builders Blade Developments, Amuheat’s contribution to the projects sustainable design is a gas powered hydronic radiator heating system. With consideration given to the improved thermal performance incorporated in the new homes design and the ability to zone areas of the house, a range of suitably sized hydronic radiator panels have been strategically fitted throughout the home to provide comfort heat during cooler months of the year.
