Seaforth House
HIGHLIGHTED PRODUCT: Hydronic Screed
Overlooking Middle Harbour and the Spit Bridge, the Seaforth residence makes the most of the unique promontory nature of the battle axe block with a 20m drop from the street to the water and two historic Port Jackson Figs melded into rock formations informed the design of the four story house.
Central to the clients is an appreciation of each other’s cultures and as such this home is a union of Japanese influences and the modern Australian beach house vernacular.
With the design lead by team TKD Architects in collaboration with their client, the outcome is a ‘warm, open and inviting’ waterfront home that takes advantage of site’s unique topography and expansive views over Middle Harbour filtered by the unique fig trees.
Working with builders Sandlik Construction, Amuheat’s contribution to this beautiful ‘pavillion feel’ home is an integrated solar hot water solution. With solar as the primary heat source, the Amuheat Solar Combi system delivers hot water for domestic use, pool heating and heated stone floors throughout the homes Balinese inspired courtyard architecture.
