Caleo Carbon Heat Timber Floor Heating
Electric Timber Floor Heating
Caleo Carbon Heat is a thin electric film heating foil for heating rooms from beneath timber floors and from behind plasterboard walls & ceiling. The multi-layer carbon film heater features advanced carbon nanotubes (CNT) technology to provide superior stability, efficiency and reliability.
Caleo Carbon Heat film heater is based on a continuous electric resistive sheet, installed below timber flooring or behind plasterboard walls and ceilings, for primary and background heating to rooms.
Caleo Carbon Heat film heater is an energy saving surface heater, which utilises carbon nanotubes (CNT) to provide superior stability, efficiency and reliability. Power is fed to the resistive element by way of high density pure copper bus bars that are fixed to the longitudinal edges of the heating areas. This structure is insulated by four layers of PET + EVA lamination to totally cover the element.
Caleo Carbon Heat film heating is thermostatically controlled to deliver a gentle heat that evenly warms the room through the floors, walls or ceilings by far infrared heating, resulting in comfortable, natural warmth with minimum floor to ceiling temperature variation.
Caleo Carbon Heat requires a short period of time to heat up making it suitable for comfort heating as required.

Timber Floors On Battens
Caleo Carbon Heat film heater is supplied in 300mm wide rolls for cutting continuous strips and positioning these in between fixed battens spaced out with a distance of 310mm between the sides of the battens.
Suitable sub-floors include concrete, F/C sheeting or timber.
XPS/EPS insulation with a thickness of minimum 10mm installed below the film heater minimises heat losses, increases efficiencies and minimises ongoing running costs.
The heat strips can be installed with an air gap between the timber floor, or in direct contact to chipboard installed below the timber floor.
The film heater strips are connected to 1.5mm twin electrical cables which feed back to a floor sensing thermostat controller for accurate floor and temperature control.
Wall & Ceiling
Caleo Carbon Heat film heating is recommended for rooms when installation of floor heating is not possible.
Caleo Carbon Heat film heater is supplied in 300mm wide rolls for positioning between profiles installed parallel with a distance of 400mm between the sides of the battens. The wall or ceiling structure must be dry, and allow at least 100mm of free internal height/depth.
Non flammable rock wool insulation with a thickness of minimum 20mm installed behind the film heater minimises heat losses, increases efficiencies and minimises ongoing running costs.
The heat strips install in direct contact to the wall or ceiling plasterboard.
The film heater strips are connected to 1.5mm twin electrical cables which feed back to a remote sensing thermostat controller for accurate wall (or ceiling) temperature control.
