Amuheat Speedfit Hydronic Underfloor Heating

Overview

Hydronic Underfloor Heating

Modern hydronic underfloor heating systems using gas, solar or geothermal heat pumps, integrate high tech plastic pipe either within or just below the floor finish. Speedfit Hydronic underfloor heating in particular offers reduced installation times, is economical to run and virtually maintenance free.

The system has water pumped from a boiler or other heat source (heat pump, solar or  geothermal) to a pump pack where it is mixed to the required temperature (40-60ºC), then distributed via a manifold to heating circuits made using Speedfit Barrier Pipe in circuits of 100m.

The floor area is typically warmed to between 25ºC and 28ºC, providing an even distribution of heat at only slightly higher than room temperature. The system is controlled by one or more thermostats which signal the Pump Pack when heat is required.

The pipe is laid in concrete 50mm below the finished floor level or into a 50mm screed above an existing slab and suitable for most floor finishes, including polished concrete, ceramic tiles, tone, marble, carpets, vinyl, timber and floating floors.

In addition to supply and installation services across NSW, Amheat offer a design and supply service for a complete hydronic floor heating system with shipping across Australia.

System Components

Pipe
The Speedfit Pipe is specifically designed for floor heating. The multilayer 15mm PEX pipe (also available in 10, 22 & 28mm) features an inner oxygen barrier. The pipe is laid in concrete or screed 50mm below the slab level and generally the maximum pipe length is 100mtr on each circuit. The pipe can also be installed above a slab under timber floors.

Item Number        Size (MM x M)
10BPEX-100C       10  x 100
15BPEX-100C       15  x 100
 15BPEX-120C       15  x 120
15BPEX-150C       15  x 150
22BPEX-25C          22 x 25
22BPEX-50C          22 x 50

Manifold & Manifold Control Pack
The Speedfit Manifold distributes the heated water through the PEX pipes in the floor.  Manufactured from high quality brass, complete with adjustable flow gauge, drain valve and air bleed valve. Flow rate indicators include the means to adjust flow rate and isolate circuit manually or using an actuator controlled by a thermostat or programmer. The attached Manifold Control Pack adjusts the flow temp of water and circulates water through the floor heating coils.

Item Number        Description
JGUFHMAN4          4 Zone
JGUFHMAN6          6 Zone
 JGUFHMAN8          8 Zone
JGUFHMAN10       10 Zone

 Control Options
Room thermostats are used to control the temperature in an individual room or in 'zones' of 2 or more rooms. They are wired back to a control centre that responds to the thermostats by activating the heat source circulating pumps and any other control components such as actuators, zone valves, etc.
