Amuheat Cable Mat Floor Heating SystemOverview The Cable Mat floor heating system is suited for in tile-adhesive, thinset or in-screed floor heating applications directly beneath tile, stone, floating and timber floor finishes. Suitable sub-floors include concrete slabs, suspended timber, F/C sheet floors or existing tiles. Cable Mat comprises of a flexible heating element uniformly looped and fixed onto a flexible, robust fiberglass mat. The floor heating systems construction and installation methodology does not require any special tools and is quickly stuck to a clean subfloor using the attached adhesive tape strips. The ease of installation also makes them an ideal ‘Do-it-Yourself” or Trade kit without requirements or experience for planning their layouts. Features
Technical![]() Cable Mat Construction: Comprises of a flexible, robust fiber-glass mat with the looped heating element uniformly fixed on it. The heating element terminates to 3m length cold leads at both ends of the mat. Heating Element: Self regulating single heating conductor with Teflon insulation, protected by a metal earth shield with a second insulation sheath. Voltage: 240 Volt AC Output Power: From 150 to 200W/m² Control: Programmable room or floor sensing (or a combination of both) control Safety: IEC60335 compliant and wired into an earthed power supply connected through a RCD circuit. Safe in wet areas. Quality: DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 standards Approvals: SEMKO & UL certified Cable Mat Warranty: 10 years ![]() InstallationTile & Stone Installations Installation of Cable Mat is a simple process offering reduced installation time. After the subfloor has been prepared (cleaned and in some cases primed with a bonding agent), the cable mat is rolled out and stuck to the floor using the attached adhesive tape strips. The flooring can be immediately installed after the element fault monitor is connected to the cold tail leads. ![]() Cable Mat is easily configured on-site to suit any floor layout ![]() Laminates & Vinyl Following the installation instructions as per tile and stone heating, Cable Mat should be covered with a 4-5mm self-levelling screed. This will ensure the floor is smooth and level for the laminate, bamboo or vinyl flooring. Once the screed has cured, flooring can be immediately installed after the element fault monitor is connected to the cold tail leads. Timber Cable Mat can be installed between battens of a minimum height of 5mm on the subfloor (concrete, plywood or F/C Sheeting). Once the battens have been fixed to the floor at 500mm intervals, Cable Mat is installed between the battens as per tile and stone installation instructions. It is important to cover the Cable Mat with screed up to and even with the top of the timber battens. Once the screed has cured, flooring can be immediately installed after the element fault monitor is connected to the cold tail leads. The hardwood floor should only be nailed into the timber battens.
