Manifold - Hydronic Underfloor Heating The purpose of the hydronic manifold in a hydronic floor heating system is to channel the hot water into circuits of pipes running into and looping throughout each heated zone. The flow of hot water through the manifold into each circuit is controlled by opening or closing the valve manually, or by attaching an actuator to the individual circuit for control by a thermostat.
