Element Fault Monitor - Electric Floor Heating The Element Fault Monitor' purpose is to alert, through an audible alarm, to possible damage to the electric underfloor heating cable before the floor finish is installed. The battery operated Element Fault Monitor is supplied with each Amuheat floor heating kit. Once connected and activated, the monitor continuosly tests for resistance and for any compromise to insulation between the earth and conductor. The benefit of an early alert device could save time in locating the damage and lifting the floor finish to carry out a repair. During installation of the floor heating system or floor finish, it is important the Element Fault Monitor is periodically checked to ensure it has not been removed, damged or switched off. < Back to Glossary |
